Professor Mendonis began his journey as a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt in 2008 where the art was no more than a way to get fit. As his relationship with his dojo grew, his passion began to grow into a more professional one. He received his black belt under Brian Glick, a current second degree black belt, and was able to impact the lives of many students on a personal and professional level. His journey to the Bronx began when he married his wife in 2014, and the idea of owning his own Dojo was no more than a dream. The support of his family allowed the dream to become a reality and in May 2016, Kaizen Brazilian jiu-jitsu was born.
Miss Niomi was raised in the Bronx New York and has a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University. After graduating from college, she found a passion for the practice of yoga. She spent time abroad earning her certification as a yoga instructor. Since beginning her training, she has been able to help many people through the practice of yoga.
Mister Narciso Molina, a native of Harlem New York, was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by a close family member. His Journey in Jiu-Jitsu began when he took his first lesson with Professor Mendonis. He quickly fell in love with the art and used it as a platform to change his life in a physical and mental way. He currently holds the rank of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Mister Stellios Mendonis is a practicing brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He currently resides in Long Island, New York with his wife and two kids. His passion began after being introduced to the art by his brother, Professor Mendonis.
